With his roots in Virginia's music scene, he brings authenticity and emotion to each track, exploring themes like success, failure, perseverance, and the complexities of life. The album serves as a blend of his poetic skills and the raw energy of spoken word, offering fans a deeper insight into the mind of an artist who’s known for his sharp lyrical content and vunerable but candid perspective on his journey.

Mad Skillz is an American rapper from Richmond, Virginia. His debut album "From Where???" is credited for helping to put Virginia on the hip hop map as he was the first artist to break out nationally. He has worked with and collaborated with industry veterans such as The Roots, Missy Elliott, Jay Z, Nicki Minaj & a host of others. He has been an Artist Of Residence at The University Of Richmond since 2018 where he co teaches a hip hop class with Professor Erik Nielson.
